Preventing Real-Life Facebook Stalking

So I've been keeping quiet about this for some time, but I feel it's time that I finally let everyone know.  Maybe it will go someway toward stopping this happening to me now, and potentially preventing it happening to all of you who are reading this in the future. 

I have a real-life Facebook stalker. 

Of course real-life Facebook stalking requires some co-operation on the stalkee's part, in fact as much as some might say is an unnecessary amount of effort which could be thought of as encouraging the whole ordeal. 

And who better to share how to deter real-life Facebook stalkers than me.  Me, someone with their own real-life Facebook stalker, and also the one who coined the phrase, "real-life Facebook stalker."

So here are my top 5 tips to deter real-life Facebook stalkers.

1. You know those photo albums that you left lying outside on the lawn?  The ones with the pictures you don't want everyone in the world to see?  Bring them in.
2. Change your real-life privacy settings so that the things that you say in real life can only be heard by those you are directly talking to.
3. If someone comes up to you with a real-life friend request, make sure you already know them on Facebook before you accept it.  
4. Rather than going out and doing things in real life, instead do things solely on Facebook.  Because Facebook is the only place where real-life Facebook stalkers don't frequent.
5. Don't publish articles detailing all of the steps you have taken to prevent real-life Facebook stalking, as the stalkers will then know your tactics and be able to work around them.
