Tips for Silliness

So I've been in the UK now for a month and a bit, and although I have noticed small and carefully organised pockets of silliness, by and large I have found that you lot here need to get better at it.  So here are Richard's top tips for invoking and encouraging silliness.

1. Next time you are going to go for a walk down the street, why not wear your pants backwards?  Although you'll have your trousers or skirt on top and people won't be able to see, they will notice your walk being slightly sillier because of your newly found discomfort.
2. Next time a charity person approaches you, respond with "No thanks, I've already got one."  Then stop and engage with them and see where the conversation takes you.  My silliest I've managed so far was convincing one that I already have my own donkey charity.
3. Daily letter avoidance day.  Chose a letter of the alphabet that you will avoid using today, and see where life takes you.  The letter I've chosen to avoid today is X, but I challenge you to choose a more difficult letter such as one of the vowels.  And I have just noticed that by telling you that I'm avoiding X, I have in fact used the letter X, three times now.  So I've failed at it, but in the process have made myself look silly so really who is the winner here?
