Yes, EVEN YOU can use contactless

Let's face it, contactless payment cards are the future for small financial transaction fulfilment.  But I'm sure you, like me, have had trouble with how difficult they are to use compared to the old inserty and pin method.  Visa are so lovely, so have started posting advert posters around to encourage us everyday Britons to overcome the difficulties of contactless cards, and they are very motivational.  See the guy in the poster below, Visa are so considerate, saying "Yes Mr fisherman, even you can do it, even you."  Aren't Visa amazing.

I'm going to go a step further and give a comprehensive guide to moving from the insterty method to contactless.  Here's a summary of the old method.

Old Method

1. Listen to the teller person telling you exactly how to use the machine
2. Insert your card into the machine
3. Enter your pin number
   
4. Press enter, or green, sometimes it's one and sometimes it's the other
5. Rejoice!

And now brace yourself, it's time to learn the new method.  This is the method that Visa assure that even you, yes, even you, can master.  Even if you're a fisherman.

New Method

1. Ignore the teller person telling you how to use the machine as they'll talk about the old inserty method
2. Touch your card on the machine for two seconds until it beeps
3. Rejoice!  Make sure you rejoice extra hard because you deserve it.  With a combination of the motivation from Visa and the detail of the instructions you've learned here, you've really overcome one of life's difficulties and can be proud of being one of life's winners
